hmmm I think the implication is script a quest and they'll get back to you...
its probs easier on both sides anyway, making sure it fits in

Pikmand, although we appreciate the fan support, we're trying to minimize spam in this thread (despite us spamming it ourselves :p). If you're just going to say something like that, plz save it for the submition of the map. Not trying to be rude or anything, but we have a lot of spam already (not to mention any names, HFR likes to think he doesn't spam all that much :p).

Well,, it might be an idea though,, for a system,,
would you like to make a system for some games? (maybe roulette, and slots)
You can use 1 generated region (placed in WE), rest has to be scripted like:
JASS:
local rect r = Rect(GetRectCenterX(GAMEREGION) - 400,GetRectCenterY(GAMEREGION) - 400)
and so on,,
feel free to use JNGP, since i do too =P

If you reject this system, it will go to LoS ok?

LoS, one thing: Can you update the system, so it uses only 1 generated region? That would be awesome,
it would be nice if you could make it that only the 4x6 region is generated, and the rest made with triggers,, could you do that? Thanks ^^

Multiboards can be minimized eh ^^

well, yes, should be easy, but it really is alot more easy to make the regions yourself, as its easier to define what location fits best. And if it is such a big need, i think you could do it yourself, just put in your "add region" code, before the variable is set :p

It'd even better with the rotating feature

Rotating would be really easy to make, but it would mean that the system would need a trigger run every 0.05 sec, or 0.03 if it should be smooth, while looking at units...

A customized background? Hc, make a plane model (Not a model looking like a plane, but a PLANE), and add a Pokeball texture :D

i already have got way to much in my opinion,, already like 50 or so ><,,
and heck it, if we can do it with a few less it is ok right? Like regions in the middle of the upperleft quarter of a region (like this:)

Why would you make a generic region for it? With 2 (or 3 or so) little calculations you got the same effect, and you can even set its height/width easier to the desired,,
you get it? And i just hate it that we are dependant on all generic regions =P,,

you can only have one multiboard in the game per player at a time...soo....

You can still use the so called "DGUI" system that allows you to create an exact copy of a multiboard. You can make menus on the screen and stuff like that, its a really awesome system but is very advanced and needs a lot of experience in Jass.

(i prefer that more then multiboards but im not experienced enough to figure out the math coding so i cant use different camera angels :/)

And why would you need more then one to start with? You can just put two into one if needed?

You get a (quite big) region in the top of the map,, where all cut-away regions are like: Houses, Labs, Gyms, Battle areas,, that sort of stuff you know?
There you can do whatever you want with tiles,terrain,doodads, everything,, as long as it is a nice and fancy game ;),, ok?

P.S. tell me please how big do you want your region to be? So i can 'reserve' it ok?

this might sound really crazy to everyone, but i think the terrain should be redone....

in other words, create new terrain from scratch. Because working with the map that we have right now, is quiete messy if you know what i mean.

Its just a suggestion though, im not saying we have to do it....either way Yixx in the long run would have to decide that. Whether to terrain the map all over again. or keeep it as is.

there are reasons for re-terraining it. For instance, the cliff shores inhibit the ability to create effective beaches =/ not only that but the space we are playing in is quiete small.... perhaps upgrading the map to a bigger size, so that you can have all the rooms in the extra space, and leave 256 x256 for World exploration.

Ok, we can overdo the terrain,, then we can increase map size to 480x480 (wasnt such a bad idea after all),, which is ALLOWED BY JNGP,, so it should be ok =P
Now, if we are going to redo it all, we have to do it right this time,,

I want a snow cliff tile, a nice dirt cliff tile, grass, grassy dirt, sand, ice, some dungeon thingy, 2/3 city tiles, 1/2 path tiles,,

So: Do you think you can make the best tile set? Send me your own tileset and maybe you will win! ^^

NO ! no cliffs at all what so ever !

we will make artificial cliffs, by using the raise tool, it can create steep inclines using JNPG.

i can make the map so that it has about 25 different tiles... which is A HEALLA LOT =D
but we are not creating tiles, because that takes up filespace.

Ill start immidiatly on this new map ( just a side note, a 480 x 480 map takes up 680 KB on its own...without terrain or anything )

Before i start i want to know, if we are creating an entirley knew map ? or is it still going to be the same map, just with the terrain re-done ? (i suggest creating an entirley new map)

Ive already started a new map just incase, with ever y good tileset ( has 16 tiles, 25 slots filled ) and they are all well done. But ya re doing the terrain would be a good idea. It would make terraining progress simpler.

Ok then,, but i mean, regenerating them takes a HELL of a lot more time then moving them,, but just do it this way ;) ,,

BTW: HFR, you still working on it? Then you can stop, lol =P,,too bad that would be for nothing then =(

TDHX: Remember! We need SPACE on top/side/bottom of the map for battle areas, houses, boxes (for storing Pkmn),, such stuff,, it needs to have lots of space,,

and dont worry, with a 480 by 480, there will be TONS OF EXTRA space....lol its alot of space haha

and sorry yixx, but i think we all make sacrifices when we considered this =/ Terraining a 480 by 480 map will take tons of time and energy too. Ive began the map...its lookin sexy already :D

This is a WIP of my pokedex Summary interface. It will have a green screen at the right side, and at the left a light blue one. also some meaningless buttons.
It is 3D to use in-game textures and animate opening and closing correctly.

OH! WTH! ME HAZ IDEAZ! LoS, what about adding a button unit that when selected exits the pokedex summary view?

Cant we fade in the text? And HC, that would require either a trackable (which suck) or a dummy unit which you have to click,,

TDHX: I think we dont have an Ash model, but actually i dont want one,, it would be too Pokemon, and this is warcraft,,
 
Oh, yeah, it's gonna be a screen after all, but just to look fancy and funny, cuz the pokemon will be put between the camera and the pokedex model.
You want a black background to the text?
I was planning on doing a light blue screen at the left side, and a lime green screen at the right side.
The floating text don't really need to look IN the screen, it will look cool and unique this way.

Oh, and the ESC key is more practical than an EXIT button.
But what we can do is dummy units that when selected will change between the 6 pokemons on the party.
one to the LEFT and other to the RIGHT.
