We are trying something new for 3.1.0 that I am calling the PTB (Public Test Build). The theory behind it is to mimic what battle.net does with the PTR. Test the new patch, data, changes, content, without worrying about harm to the current version.
Here's what the PTB will do:
I cannot stress enough that you cannot save in any PTB versions. These copies are so the entire community can test the new content and report back feedback, bugs, suggestions and help stabilize the build so we can put out the normal copy of it.
In the 3.1.0 build, the druid will be active and fully functional, 6 new mini bosses (that feel like actual boss fights, but are just shorter) will be active, and 1 new boss will be released for testing. The last 2 testable mini bosses come after a new gauntlet the players will have to get through and survive.
Shortly after this release of the PTB, 2 more bosses will be released that are back to back fights (The way you killed Karavnos and then went right to Muarki).
Here's what the PTB will do:
- 200% Experience gain
- 200% Gold gain
- All waypoints active regardless of quest progress
- All barrier blocked areas / special bosses that require a quest chain are unlocked by default
- YOU CANNOT SAVE IN THE PTB. You can load your heroes, but you cannot save them.
