Hey all!
I'm playing Warcraft 3: ROC once more again and I'm wondering if the difficulty level was the same years ago.
I can assume, that i'm better at it than ~15-18 years ago (more exp, i'm not a kid anymore), but! there are some significant differences.
In mission 5 in human's campain two (green and purple) Liches are attacking only at 2-3 mins before Uther's arrival.
I remember that these undead heroes were attacking multiple times, much earlier, what is the mission was much harder.
There is one more really visible difference - in the last humans mission - frosmourne Malganis' troops are barely attacking, even without using frost wyrms or gargoyles.
I'm 100% sure, that many years ago base defence was REALLY TOUGH - enemy was using frost wyms and gargoyles etc.
So where is the truth? I don't remember correctly? Or there were some changes in diff lvl? I checked patches 1.26, 1.27 and sth around 1.16.
Does anyone know that's going on here?
