The Rise of Eyes is a Hero Defense style map with RPG elements.
Protect the city from the invasion of waves of the Wicked.
Develop your city's economy to better resist attacks.
Win the game by activating one of the Portals
The map works only on 1.32+ versions
  • Allowed number of players: 1-4
  • Gameplay Time: 1-2 hours
  • Number of difficulty levels: 3
  • Amount of Heroes: 20
  • Maximum hero level: 100


  • Extended Start Mode: Before the first attack of the Wicked, the player completes a short starting quest
  • Quests: 25 additional quests
  • Bosses: there are 40 unique bosses in the map, some of which are Wave Bosses and attack the city every four waves
  • Talent system: every 5 levels the hero can choose one of two talents
  • Backpack system: each hero has an additional inventory of 6 slots
  • Accessory items: some items only work in the backpack
  • Stats system: you can choose to upgrade stats instead of abilities. You can choose +2 to each stat or +4 to the main one
  • Treasure chests: there are 40 chests on the map in which you can find a rare item or artifact
  • Card collections: while exploring the map, you can find Magic cards with useful properties
  • Pets: some items will allow you to get a pet with useful auras

  • Flies towards the Castle at a speed of 200
  • If it reaches the Castle, it deals 750 damage to the Castle, and also detonates a Barrel of Explosives

SILVAR
  • Trial "Elder Vampire": the main attribute of the hero is now Strength
  • When the "Blood Sacrifice" mode is turned off, Silvar does not spend health when using abilities

PALADIN
3rd spell: cooldown reduced by 2 seconds

BALRIK
Steal: now if the target is an enemy, the hero will steal Wave Number * 2 gold from him.


  • Fixed a bug where Silvar could get out of player control in the extended beginning on Vulcan
  • Fixed a bug where Silvar could not use Bleeding in the extended beginning on Vulcan
  • Fixed a bug where the General Worker did not receive a damage bonus from the Books of Attack, Frostmourne, and Night's Punishment

Gold Mines:
  • Sawmill renamed to Storage and can now store gold
  • Caves now contain 2 random Gold Mines, each containing 37,500 gold
  • When a Mine runs out, it drops 7 gems and 3,000 gold

Mine:
New upgrade - Automatic Send:
Miners are automatically sent to the Mine.
Cost: 1,100

The Miner's Crate now has the ability "Sell Gems" (requires the "Automatic Send" upgrade):
Sell all gems in the crate to the Jeweler.
The city will receive the gold for the sale.

"Sell Gems" ability also has Shared Stash and Backpacks

HEROIC CHALLENGE
- Assassin, General Worker and Paladin now have Heroic Challenges

BOSSES
- Mega Shredder: now always drops 3 items (Golden Gear, Purchase Voucher, Goblin Shredders) instead of just 2

General Worker:
  • Now gains 25% less experience when selling farmed items

Farm Shop:
Shepherd Dog:
A dog appears at the Mill that collects ripened wheat. The dog lives 10 minutes, but Meat will extend its life by another 4 minutes.
Max Dogs: 6
Cost: 750

Shepherd:
A shepherd appears at the Mill that plants wheat every minute. He charges 35 gold for this.
Max Shepherds: 6
Cost: 1000

Towers:
Capacity Tower: Health increased from 1500 to 2250
Healing Tower: Health decreased from 10000 to 6000
Spark Tower: Now has one bounce by default

Can now build Death Tower:
Shoots clots of death energy. Deals significant damage, but has a slow attack speed.
20% of the damage dealt by this tower will be pure damage.
Attack type: chaos

Can now build Hawk Tower:
This tower can summon hawks.
Hawks deal 2x more damage to people and animals.

ITEMS
Prefecture Tower: Attack speed decreased by 30%
Charged Thunder Diamond: Damage decreased from 800 to (275 + item owner level * wave number)
Amulet of the Wizard Hunter: Now provides +15% Critical Damage Boost

Scimitar:
Recipe cost increased from 2000 to 2800

Shield of Noon:
  • Now also crafted from Heart of Winter
  • Now provides +2500 Health
  • Recipe cost decreased from 25000 to 20000
  • Strength bonus decreased from 150 to 100
  • Health regeneration bonus changed from 50 to 1.5%
  • Total cost increased from 34460 to 41980


  • BUGS
    • Fixed a bug where some workers could repair fighters in the arena
    • Fixed a bug where Zimma's 1st and 3rd abilities did not benefit from cooldown reduction
    • Fixed a bug where the Gunnery Crew's Aimed Shot (Talent 25) ability sometimes did not go on cooldown
    • Fixed a bug where the Rat could infect Mother Grove's Bouncers with the plague and make them hostile
    • Fixed a bug where Night Armor did not show the bonus to magic resistance at night in the UI
    • Fixed a bug where the Paladin's 1st Heroic Trial did not count
    • The Portal of the Wicked now has the Locust ability, meaning you can pick up items underneath it

    DIFFICULTY LEVELS
    Hard difficulty:
    • Liches now have the Triad item
    • Wave Creatures and Faceless Bloods are 30% stronger per every 13 completed waves

    WORLD
    • Now you can transfer 500 coins to the city
    • Knights now appear from broken barracks if a stable is built
    • Pedestals of the Way Gates now give +1 to the level of all heroes for each invested item
    • Pickpockets-Pickpockets can now appear by default in the world, but the chance of their appearance is 6%, instead of 33%
    • Black Black Market now gives 15% cashback
    • For the event with the coffin in the Crypt, a Medal of Bravery is now awarded if the event ended after the 2nd wave

    Faction Anarchists:
    - The interval for obtaining wood with Forest Lights has been increased from 5 to 25

    EXTENDED STARTER
    Unstable Druid: Hunters' health has been reduced by 40%
    Sheira: now receives an additional 100 gold for killing a boss

    HEROIC CHALLENGE
    - Added challenges for Hidik and the Black Knight

    QUESTS
    Rats:
    • If the hero has no space in the inventory, the vaccine will be placed in the backpack
    • All players now receive a barrel of explosives, not just the red player

    WAVE CREATURES:
    Bannerbearers:
    • Now there will be one standard bearer in a wave of creatures
    • The health, defense and attack of the standard bearer are 2 times more than that of a regular wave creature
    • The reward for the standard bearer is 4 times more
    The standard bearer has one of the following auras:

    Aura of attack and movement speed:
    +20% to attack speed
    +25% to movement speed

    Aura of health regeneration:
    +2.5% to health regeneration

    Aura of vampirism:
    +20% to vampirism from attacks and spells

    Aura of physical damage:
    +20% to attack damage amplification
    +30% to physical damage resistance

    Aura sorcery:
    +10 mana regeneration
    +20% magic damage amplification
    +30% magic damage resistance

    Aura does not affect the standard bearer
    The standard bearer does not appear at night
    Aura radius: 1200

    HEROES:
    General Worker:
    • Forgotten Tower now has the ability Strong Walls
    • You can now put meat into the Shepherd Dog to feed it
    • Healing Tower: healing reduced from 0.3% to 0.1%
    • Accumulation Tower: now gives +1 damage instead of +2 if the target is a summoned creature
    • Research Tower Damage Amplification: now also gives +2 damage to Heroic Towers
    Heroic Challenge Miner:
    - Goblinus Mechanicus now mine 20 gold instead of 30
    Heroic Challenge Lumberjack:
    - Goblin Axes are now given instead of Golden Axes Shredders (5 pieces)
    Heroic Challenge Defender:
    • Now also gives +5% to the boost of summoned creatures
    • Reward: now units from the barracks also receive 50% of the health and attack of the laborer
    Master's Aura:
    Green Sword Aura
    Global: built/upgraded heroic tower will gain (2 + ability level)% to attack

    Furious Defender Aura
    Global: built/upgraded heroic tower will gain (2 + ability level)% to health

    Logging:
    Workers now also chop wood 3% * ability level faster.

    Advanced Restoration Tower:

    Paladin:
    Heroic Trial Ice Without Heart and Soul: Now killing Fima is equal to 150 killed humans and undead

    ITEMS
    Bloodstone: Spell Lifesteal bonus reduced from 3% to 1%
    Corn Cob: Strength bonus reduced from 3% + 6 to 2% + 6. Now also grants +80 health
    Sign of Time and Clock now buff all wave creatures in the next wave by 7%
    Enhanced Sign of Time now buff all wave creatures in the next wave by 28%
    Golden Shovel: Cooldown increased from 14 to 40 seconds
    Scout Owl: Item can now be purchased from Sparrow Owl

    Now grants +15% attack speed

    Each cast now grants +2 strength, +40 health, and +1 defense
    Cooldown increased from 20 to 80
    Duration increased from 10 to 40
    Cost increased from 10000 to 12500

    Astral Rune and Astral Potion:
    • While under the effect of the Astral Rune, the hero now gains +10% spell lifesteal, +25% spell damage, and +25% healing amplification.|r
    • An empty vessel can now be applied to a Corrupted Well to create an Astral Potion
    • A Tormented Soul can now be placed in a Corrupted Well to transform the Well into Purgatory
    • You can now summon 6 spirits in Purgatory for 1500 coins

    Gives 3 levels to the hero, but reduces experience gained by 95% for 5 minutes.

    Item will disappear in 3 minutes!

    How to get:
    1) Give the item "Man-Made Night" to Night
    2) The flower grows at midnight in the Lands of Night, the flower will exist for 3 minutes and then disappear.

Review​

This map is really well made. It's huge, with tons to explore. A mix of an RPG and a hero defense. The map reminds me of LOAP (but the terrain here is much nicer than your average LOAP map). Large selection of heroes on offer as well.

Feedback:​

  • It's kind of disorienting at first. The intro could be a bit simpler. For example, picking a hero is a little convoluted since you have to use an NPC's ability to do it. I get why it's done that way for the flavor, but it wasn't immediately clear how to proceed which should always be priority, imo.
  • Too much text too fast. I like the story elements, but the dialogue pop up super quickly right from the get-go. You've barely figured out who you're playing and what you're suppose to be doing before the wall of text is upon you. There's a disconnect between storytelling through quests etc, and the urgency of wave defense, although the game gives you plenty of time before the first wave (which is great).
Overall, this is an excellent map, and it's clear a lot of work went into it. I'll rate it 5 for overall quality, but it needs polish in terms of the flow of the game, especially the intro to be full potential.

One of the main resources where the map is hosted is itsdiscord server and its VK Group.
I changed my discord nickname to hive nickname.

I keep getting hit by Rain of Fire and Lava Spawn in the later stage of the game, is there a quest or way to get rid of it?

Apparently, the loyalty of the Fire Lord has reached zero - you need to get rid of all the rings in your inventory and backpack.
You can increase the loyalty of the Fire Lord by exchanging rings for gems. You can do this in the place on the screenshot - in the Lava lands (you need to click on the ring when the hero is in the selection circle)

You can increase the loyalty of the Fire Lord by exchanging rings for gems. You can do this in the place on the screenshot - in the Lava lands (you need to click on the ring when the hero is in the selection circle)
Thank you for this. I figured out how to keep the loyalty by exchanging rings for gems and money or by defeating him. Also didn't know the Fire Lord could steal your rings if you have any of them in the backpack when stepping and going out of the circle :xxd:

Some questions since after playing for a while I still can't seem to figure it out how to:

  • How do you unlock Command Aura for Flame/Cold Tower and Evasion for Shadow Tower?
  • How to increase Anarchist loyalty points?
  • I got the Gloves of Speed/Haste, Stone of Life, Stone of Clairvoyance (Gem of True Seeing) for Infinity Gauntlet but still missing the Stone of Nothingness, how do I find it?
  • I killed the Lich and all enemies near the portal but the portal was still standing, is there a method to destroy it? I was testing the game in single player mode btw
  • Sometimes, I see a large hand creature with an eye on it. What does it do? I try to attack it but seem like it can't be killed

1) To unlock Command Aura for Flame/Cold Tower, you need to pick the hero Foken (an old mage in a wheelchair) and learn his level 35 talent
2) To unlock Evasion for Shadow Tower, you need to pick the hero Assassin and learn his level 35 talent
3) Anarchist loyalty points can be obtained by following the instructions on the last page of the book Sons of Anarchy (Bookstore, green book for 1000 gold) - it says that you need to place a bet in the casino and fight club, and also spare boss Garik in prison
4) Stone of Nothingness is a secret item, to get it you need to use the Time Stone (Chronist's shop) immediately after resurrection in the tavern
5) At least one portal will always be located on the map.
6) The hand with the eye is a secret boss. To kill him you need to use special mechanics of Warcraft 3. One of the ways for single-player mode is to quickly click on him 42 times to explode (this is a neutral-passive unit).

Thanks again for the reply. About Garik can I ask how to spare him though? Do you have to wait for a while after you rescued all the hostages and after he spawned you don't have to kill him or you don't accept the prison quest from the caretaker and just wait to get the last ten Anarchy points? Or maybe there is a specific way you have to do to spare him?

Also what is the effect of the magic card of the hand with large eye does? Since the text description for it is not translated.

To spare Garik you need to leave him with less than 20% health during the battle with him. Then support him in the dialog box.

The card with the eye is the rarest in the game and its description is written in Latin 🙂
Translation: "The card owner's illusions are 5 times stronger; the card owner gains 7% of the strength, agility and intelligence of the boss killed within a radius of 1000; pet: don't even think about it"

This map has been super fun but it's also driving me insane trying to figure some things out ahahaha. How do you get the archmage to be warm? We've tried so many combos of matches and firewood and whatnot but he's still cold.

Edit: You burn down the parish. With the matches. That gets you warm.

Feedback on this map resource's descriptions: It's not a 'Tower Defense (TD)', as is implied by that name (there are towers, but they're not the only way you defend yourself). This should be a Hero Survival or a Hero Defense. I think you should update the description to be "The Rise of Eyes is a Hero Defense style map with RPG elements." and change the tags to reflect that :)

More questions about the map:

  • Inside the mountain caves, there is a cave which lead to a large room with broken rail way on the top side, is there a secret in this room since I didn't find anything inside it.
  • Inside the prison, at the bottom left there is a force wall that block you from accessing whatever behind it, I wonder if you can de-active it.
  • So far I have met every character that is mentioned in magic cards but I haven't seen Halotron in game yet, is he appear in some character's mini event at that start or in a event?
  • The Horn of Cenarius which can be used to initiate Satyr boss fight, any ways to get it or you can only buy it from the Collector shop at random?

Also I think there is a bug with Guberman's Gold Card version, Gold Card version seem to not provide normal visibility inside caves like the Normal Card version does.

1) The cave with rails, the force wall in the prison and the Halotron boss are currently unrealized ideas that will appear (I hope) in the game next year

2) The Horn of Cenarius can be obtained by purchasing the Silver Horn in the Strength Shop (horn is upgraded upon reaching 10 charges)

3) There is indeed a bug with the Guberman's Golden Card.

Very amazing and innovating map

Pros:
  • I really like that the city is in ruin and you must repair it either by paying for upgrades or completing quest , it makes player feel its impact on the map seeing the city changing by they action
  • Some creative hero designs
  • Save system
  • Ability to customize the difficulty as you want

Cons:
  • some messages in the game are not translated to english and they are Russian
  • Everytime i played the game ( i played solo ) i feel very weak against everything maybe i dont know where to start farm and get strong or what to buy but the waves and quests are too hard

To make it easier to play, I also recommend making fewer creatures per wave and choosing a large interval between waves.

If there is no translation into English somewhere, I would be grateful for a screenshot with this moment.

I have no screenshot for translation problem but i do remember when they happen

  • when a tower get destroyed
  • other one i dont really know when the event happens but it will decrease the player income for 260 for some time ( i think it happens when enemies creature reach the inner part of the city ? )
EDIT: the dwarfs are my nightmare they design is so weird why they should get stronger with every hit? leave them be for a while and each of them will become a boss fight , it not like they start soo weak that you can easily kill them

Yes, brown dwarves can be a real problem (I nerfed them 4 patches in a row a long time ago).
It's worth remembering that when you kill one dwarf, all other dwarves in a large radius become much weaker. The "explosive barrel" item can also help.

In general, I recommend buying the item "Wonderful Scarecrow" in the Intellect shop - it will help against dwarves too

Incredibly fun map with some really creative designs and plenty to do, though the difficulty is a bit out of whack. The worst part is how punishing the game is - being challenging itself is fine but I feel like the punishment for losing a building for example is too brutal. It's enough that losing a tower you lose all the upgrades pumped into it, but rebuilding the tower doesn't even give back the full income.

As mentioned before, tower destroyal/rebuilding messages are still in Russian, along with the gem descriptions that say they vanish in two minutes etc. A lot of items are also missing where they are bought from, making chasing recipes hard when you have one of the items but struggle to find where the rest are with the 10+ different shops around the place.
