What setting is responsible for buildings revealing a small border of terrrain around them ?

Example: A row of scout tower with occlusion height, if they come into your sight range, revealing them also reveals a small border aorund them.

Is there a way to prevent this and what is causing it ?

Could you show a picture of what you are talking about? Im not quite sure what "small border of terrain" you are referring to.

There is this small border. The walls are units based on Footman with Locust.

Have you tried adding occluder height to the dummies?

Yes, I set IsBuildingTrue in the object data ( else it wouldn't work) and added an occluder height to it.
It is not the occluder height, else there would be much more revealed.

Hmmm that's strange. I recreated what you got there and I don't understand what causes it. I know that if a unit is attacked by another unit that is in fog of war (Eg: attacking unit is on a cliff), then the attacking unit will be revealed momentarily. Might be related to that. Then again, might not.

Hm, I have a unit ( footman) and I add Locust to it and as well an Occlusion Height greater than 64. Additionally, I set IsBuilding to true.

A theory of mine is that it might have something to do with collision sizes or collision boxes of the model, but I haven't tested it yet.

If i were you i'd just try around everything that resembles a size.

Like you said yourselves, some collision size, maybe also try the selection size etc.

Play through all those values, hopefully one is responsible.
