Varian Wrynn, also called Lo'Gosh the "Ghost Wolf", the son of the late King Llane Wrynn, was the Alliance, and the former King of Stormwind. Varian faced war from an early age. He became a legendary king with a legendary temper. And he died a hero. As a boy, he witnessed the assassination of his father, King Llane Wrynn, and the sacking of Stormwind at the hands of the Horde.
Under his leadership, the humans of Stormwind led the Alliance to victory against the Lich King in Northrend, and seek to bolster their strategic holdings against their perennial enemy, "the Horde". With the world plunged into chaos by the great Cataclysm, he took up military leadership of the Alliance, and vowed to forge a new destiny for Azeroth.
He became a legendary king with a legendary temper. And he died a hero. He was killed by Gul'dan on The Broken Isles.
