How do you think why Paladin and Death Knight can't heal themselves using first ability?

Do not speak about balance. Any unit in warcraft 3 universe which can heal someone can heal himself except these two. In real life the same thing. If human can bandage other people then he can bandage himself.

Holy Light and Death Coil is a form of light and death energy created from mana. It can restore (heal) same form of energy and deal damage to other forms. Why Paladin and Death Knight can't use it on themselves?

since you said dont speak about balance i assume its cuz of aim issue like really the death knight cant aim has blade to himself and same goes for paladin he cant aim the book towards himself unless he want to hit himself with his hammer if he wants to heal by directing his hammer above his head which i assume trying to carry such a hammer in an awkward movement like that would make it hard to make stable.

the DK also cant use his both hands cuz probably the horse head will get in the way and there you have a lore reason for why both cant heal.

It's fully impossible for both DK and Paladin to heal themselves with Death Coil and Holy Light respectively. As explained by that guy's post above, the DK won't be able to use the blade, nor even using both hands (due to the fact he's still riding the horse). The DK, however, can heal himself with the "Death Pact" ability by using a sacrificial spell on any Undead units. The problem is "Death Pact" can ONLY be used on the user-controlled Undead units, but NOT the computer-controlled Undead units (which is why the DK can only use Death Coil for this case). Similar script also happened to Lich's "Dark Ritual", but it only restores Lich's mana by using a sacrificial spell on any user-controlled Undead units. With the latest patch of WC3, Undead heroes beside DK can now use a special item called "Ritual Dagger", which actually has the same functions as Death Pact when it comes to HP regeneration by using any Undead units as a target for the "sacrificial spell".

As for Paladin, unfortunately, he doesn't have its counterparts to "Death Pact" ability. The "Divine Shield" is basically the survivability spell that makes him invulnerable for a short period of time rather than actually healing him.

something something "BALANCE" lol, a warrior that can heal himself is crazy, take for example the paladin in Lineage 2, at first he only had a middle/slow heal for himself, but could cast crazy healing on his party by sacrificing his own health, it was balanced, later he was allowed to use the same heal that bishop(healer class) had on hiemself and he became a pvp monster, the paladin could be on a pvp 1vs1 get near death quickly cast "greater heal" on himself a couple of times and be full hp to continue the pvp while the other guy was hitting him lol.

TL;DR: weak units with heal are fine because you can easily kill them, A TANKY HERO that can heal himself is not balanced.
