DDS compresses far smaller on saving the map save then any blp which is an outdated unoptimized format that needs to go the way of the dinosaur. If you converted every single texture in a map using a pile of .blps to .dds and then save the map as a file (not a folder) it will be significantly smaller in size. 7 MB is tiny for one unit by modern game standards. I will not compress the textures any further they are already compressed enough. If a mapmaker wants to compress them further that is their choice to do so. The models uploaded here should be in higher quality so people can reduce quality if they so choose.
