Hallow's End: Headless Horseman 2.0

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

šŸŽƒWelcome to Hallow's End: Headless HorsemanšŸŽƒ

During Hallow's End, the Headless Horseman is a summoned elite boss spawned in the Pumpkin Shrine in the middle of the Forlorn Cloister in The Graveyard, an instanced wing of the Scarlet Monastery. The Horseman was once a Knight of the Silver Hand, but is now cursed by Balnazzar. He is of the belief that he is alive, while those who face him are dead...

šŸŽƒMap Features:
  • Dialogues with voice included from the fight.
  • Replica of the Horseman's skills in WoW.
  • Play alone or with up to a group of 5 people.
  • 5 difficulties depending on the number of curses activated at the entrance.
  • Different items and secrets scattered around the map.

Models used:
  • Headless Horseman (HotS) for Reforged HD - Symphoneum
  • Pumpkin Squashling - Zenonoth and Blizzard Entertainment
  • Sire Denathrius - Missing Shadowsong

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.

Hey @Faqka!
I played your map, check this out. I didn't used hallow masks, rather decided to showcase what boss fight is.

Hey! @The Nightmare Book Thank you for having played and showing the game, it is always useful to find errors or things to improve or simply have another player's perspective:infl_thumbs_up:

Cute and petite map where you have to take down a random horseman using five heroes. It was a pretty standard boss fight. The boss has this phase where he summons weak pumpkins and throws out some area-of-effect death coils now and then. Not too bad of a fight. There were also some mini-bosses on the map, and beating them seemed to give the heroes bonus spells. The thing is, some of those new spells use the same hotkeys as spells I already had. Like, the Paladin’s Holy Light and the bonus spell Storm Bolt both use the T key. Super confusing! After realizing that taking down the mini-bosses didn’t really help much, I just went straight for the main boss.

This map might work better as part of a custom campaign or something more elaborate, but as a stand-alone deal, it felt like just an average boss fight. The heroes didn’t have any items except for the ankhs, but honestly, I didn't need them because the boss fight was pretty easy.

At first, I played on normal difficulty, but then I tried it again on the hardest setting, and wow, that was much tougher! We even got a bonus boss this time. Funny enough, the first boss hit way harder than the second one, which made me lose most of my ankhs. Overall, it was a challenge and pretty fun, but I wish beating the mini-bosses dropped some cool items instead of bonus spells I didn’t really need.
And it’s kind of hilarious that you ended up being the bonus boss yourself; "whoever has this item must be the map creator" :gg:

Hey!
Thank you very much for your feedback. I will take your recommendations into account for a future map update and fix those small details of the hotkeys:infl_thumbs_up:
