Greek Letters?

Hello.
Every single one of my mac friends are able to create symbols such as the greek letter omega with the mac keyboard shortcuts, I would like to know how this is done on a windows system. I believe it's like the apple character which needs to be input by putting in three different special characters at a time. If anyone could find said characters to do so (I'm mainly just looking for the ones for the omega letter) I would greatly appreciate it.e

You can make different symbols by holding ALT down and entering code using numpad.
For example:
ALT + 0169 = ©
ALT + 0153 = ™
ALT + 159 = ƒ
ALT + 5544 = ¿

I understand that, but that's not what I'm asking.
What I'm looking for is combinations of those characters to create different ones, for example if you copy and paste  into warcraft 3 you get an apple logo. I'm looking for the omega symbol.
