Elune's Daughters

Elune's Daughters is a custom campaign that focuses on the Priestesses of Elune in the timeline of Warcraft III events. This is the 1st part of it, an easy introductory campaign, with many sequels to come.

Our story begins with the Sundering, to visualize the moment from where it all began...

Adora Nightshade, a priestess of the moon, is thrown away from her sisters in battle, and knocked down by the shock nova of the Sundering. Near death, the Moon Godess Elune, descends into a spiritual form and revives her dearest and most loyal priestess, by infusing her with a gift of power. Elune's Gift increases the priestess' healing powers, but also empowers her to be able to fight on her own.

The promise of the Godess as to whoever shall receive her gift and be faithful to her shall grow stronger becomes true, as Adora's sisters are being infused as well by the priestess when reviving them.

10,000 years pass... and now we can see that Elune's daughters have grown powerful and almost unstoppable.

Priestess Kate Starsong, leader of the Moonlight Guardians. Priestess Starsong was Adora's apprentice, and she learned to become a priestess of Elune herself. In the War of the Ancients, Kate had a lover, a druid. This druid studied the Path of Cenarius alongside Malfurion Stormrage and Kathris Chillwind. He had an affinity towards the powers of nature that command the storms, the winds and the lightning. He taught Kate about druidism, and Elune's Gift empowered her powers over nature as well, since Elune is a Godess of life. Now, Priestess Kate Starsong is the most powerful lightning druidesses on Azeroth, and one of the strongest of the priestesses of Elune for her nobleness and caring towards her people.

High Priestess Adora Nightshade. Elune's most favourite priestess. Adora was the first priestess imbued with Elune's Gift and she continued her sacred duty of safeguarding her people. As Mother Priestess Dejahna died in the War of the Ancients, Tyrande Whisperwind became Mother Priestess, the highest position in the night elven hierarchy. Being very powerful, Adora ascended into the position of High Priestess. In this position, she is the third leader of the night elves, with Tyrande being the first, and Malfurion being second. Her role within the Sisterhood of Elune is crucial, because if something happens to Tyrande or Malfurion, she will ascend as the leader of the Kaldorei.

Druidess Estiria Moonray, second in command of the Starseekers. Estiria is a warrioress who inclined more towards the powers over nature, while still wielding Elune's Gift. She is a battle druidess, who mastered druidism to empower herself and her allies in battle. She established together with General Destria Barkskin the Starseekers. This army is different from the Sentinels, who are being led by Sentinel General Shandris Feathermoon, who is very loyal towards the Mother Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind. The Starseekers obey only to the decisions of the Sisterhood of Elune, the council of the priestesses. Estiria developed a very good friendship with Kate, bringing more unity for the Moonlight Guardians with the Starseekers.

General Destria Barkskin, leader of the Starseekers. Destria is a very strong huntress who dedicated her life to the army. Elune's Gift strengthened her own survival abilities and greatly empowered her inspiring talents of raising morale in battle. Sometimes too formal or proud, Destria did not make friends as her sisters did, but in her heart she still loves her people and her sisters. She is very loyal towards Adora, as she is the one who blessed her with Elune's Gift. Priestess Kate Starsong also started to be close with Destria, slowly building a beautiful friendship. Destria is considered a hero to the Kaldorei, with many battles being known when she came and turned the tide of battle against the enemy, be it satyr, outlander or demon. With her rising reputation, the Starseekers became more numerous and more powerful than the Sentinels, which rose political tension between Shandris and Destria.

High Druidess Kathris Chillwind is the most powerful druidess on Azeroth. Elune's Gift directly increased her druidic powers learned from the Demigod Cenarius, and made her almost as powerful as Malfurion Stormrage. Together with Estiria, she taught her sisters the powers over nature, and thus, the druidesses came to be. She was meant to go into the Emerald Dream, as Malfurion and the other druids did. She told Malfurion where she established her barrow den and went there, but she lied. She did went in that place, but there was no barrow den, only a very tall mountain, surrounded by rock golems. She enchanted these golems with her druidic powers and called for the strong wildkin to protect the mountain, so that none shall find it or climb it, keeping the secret this way. Kathris believed that within the Material Realm she will be able to watch over her people's lands better, as the Emerald Dream will make her unable to act, being needed to be awakened.

Witness the journey of these characters as they go in the story, and tell me how do you find it, interesting or boring. It will also influence the future campaigns that I will make based on this idea, because they will be sequels, more balanced and not as ridiculous or easy as this is gameplay-wise. This is my first campaign, it is meant to be easy, with story and atmosphere focus and maybe some fun. Future campaigns will be harder and more balanced.

I'm little confused. This is "Part 1" of whole campaign or "Part 1" from campaign's trilogy/whatever?
This is part 1 of the whole campaign. The 2nd part will have these current chapters and more, so it will probably be double in size, probably 25 chapters + interludes, but I want to see how it goes for now, and I want to improve some mapmaking skills while this campaign is played and I get some more feedback. The 2nd part of the campaign will make the campaign whole, so that sequels can come in after.

Hmm... I may play it and give you some feedback, night elves are one of my beloved races. Maybe record it.
Got you!

Just a quick question. Do you plan for the savefile to be compatible with the finished version? As in: if I play this, will I be able to continue in the finished version, or will I have to play everything again?
You won't have to play everything again, don't worry. The chapters and the interludes are open, so you will continue from where you left. Thus, you will also get the opportunity to get back to previous chapters if you want to get some lost lore that you didn't get.

This is a reforged only project or any plans to bring it to more campaign friendly 1.31?
It is made for classic, but it is playable on reforged if it is wanted.

Does this contain the other two separate maps you've uploaded?
How many playable maps does this one have?
Seems that the file size is quite big. Is there anything else in the maps aside custom models, icons etc. like music? If so, please credit anything not made by you that's been imported.
Everything in the campaign is credited. The only thing that makes the file bigger is the video file for the campaign background. It has 10 minutes of loop of the same image which is open-source because it did blur after some time. Yes, the other 2 maps are finished and are within the campaign, each as a chapter. I forgot to put the number of maps, it seemed to me that they are displayed, but I got that wrong I think. Is it really necessary to edit it again? Because I did set the campaign for all the chapters and interludes to be seen from start.

Please use the Edit button at the bottom of your posts and add text there instead of writing one post after another of yours unless it's an important update.

It would be nice to mention the number of playable and unplayable maps in the map thread description.
