[Spell] Death Coil and Resurrection

I am creating a paladin ... and was wondering if i can put the ability Death Coil to heal other races.
Or if I can to use the skill Resurrection to revive heroes

Death Coil can only heal undead. And you cannot change it because it is hard coded, either make a new custom ability and trigger it to deal damage to any enemy units.

No, why? Because Hero is unresurrectable, unless via altar

In other hand, you can use Holy Light instead of Death Coil, Death Coil is made to heal Undead + damage non undead and Holy light does the vice versa.

If you love Death Coil animation, you can just make the Holy Light anim become the death coil one.

Also, like Death Coil, you will have to trigger it because it is hard coded.

It's possible it's based on Holy Light, modify the anim or maybe it's based on Healing wave.

They trigger it because as I say Death Coil is hard coded. and...

Holy Light only heals allies and damage undead so it is triggered not based on Holy Light, yes it might be based on Holy Light but mostly Trigger does the work.

I agree, but it's more likely based on Healing Wave (set the target to one and modify the healing amount, Healing Wave heal both humans and Undeads alike)

But Healing Wave doesnt damage unit.

Make sense, or maybe add classification is done during init
So, yeah, the spell most likely triggered.

You've just now said what we said, it is triggered. We know it...lol XD

And as I said Healing Wave only heals but does not damage.

Since Death Coil can only heal Undead, why not make all your Unit-classification to Undead ?
It doesn't affect the characteristics of the unit, so why not ?
You can do this in Object Editor, Units Tab.
