But if anyone has suggestions for things to add to the game or change it would help give me motivation to get a update done.
Some things you could do:
1. Do you have any plans for the sea on the right side of the map? It's a little barren right now honestly. If not, you could do a sea ruin, something like Minecraft's Ocean Monument maybe? A massive Temple or something. Could be surrounded by ghost ships and sea monsters
2. A Kaiju Spawning Grounds, the navy kills these guys regularly but they have to come from somewhere no? Could combine it with idea 1
3. You could also connect the right sea with the left sea by expanding the map a bit and also have the ferry transport the player to the right sea as well
4. Scientists started an Alien Invasion, Bio-Lab started a Zombie Apoc. Let's have the big tech giant Ezco make AI Robots and have a AI uprising. Ezco can probably also research AI Robocops to help regular street/mall cops and when the uprising comes, they can become traitors or remain allies and fight off the insurgent AIs.
5. You can probably do something dragon-related as well. We have a player playing as a dog ascending to godhood, a dragon or 2 or 3 or 4 or 100 would not be out of place. If the forest to the north is getting crowded, you can probably add the dragons to the west side of the map in some kind of dragon nest and have a few dotted around the map.
6. If you have no idea what to do for the map to the south with all of that sea, you can probably expand it more towards the south and add an ice continent. can probably move some of the ice-related bosses down there or don't and instead put new enemies down there
7. Does the big, red, angry, "Shrine of Moloch" man in the north have to be the only final boss? You could add 3 more, 1 to the south of the map, 1 to the east, and 1 to the west. The player is likely to be an Ascended at this point, a god basically, why not have them face off the fallen evil gods/elderitch deities/primordial beings/chaos incarnates that are sealed in some shrine or temple in the 4 cardinal directions? It's definitely gonna take alot of map expanding (not sure if you want to do that) and a ton of tedious work. Yeaaaaa sorry, alot of my previous suggestions sorta lead up to this point.
8. Not sure if other people have suggested this or if you are already thinking of it too but is there any way for some of the mobs to get upgrades as well? Like the Templars for example. Given enough upgrades, they can lose to a bunch of a gang members that cost $150 each.
9. Also you asked if there is anything that other LOAP have that you can do, have you considered a zoo? You can add a Zookeeper job where you have to take care of the animals, catch exotic animals (a selection of hostile mobs) for money, and stop the occasional animal breakouts. On the note of animals getting loose, you can also add events where extremely dangerous zoo animals got loose and are terrorizing the city. You can kill them or if you're the zookeeper, recapture them (it's your job after all).
10. You can also have a prison. The police already have a jail system but you can have a prison warden job where you have to keep inmates in line, stop fights, riots, and breakouts. If a prisoner escapes, you lose money. Would also explain where exactly the prisoners in the random event came from.
11. You can probably also add in submarines as well if you find that idea appealing
12. We have a spell shop in the library, you could...add a mage tower or institute. Can probably also let the player create their own mage organization like you did with samurais and gangs.
Sorry for the large post and some potentially ridiculous ideas. But i'd argue that right now, this already went far beyond regular LOAP the moment a player can choose to play as dog, adopt another dog, become a fiery human skeleton archer, ascend to godhood while starting a samurai dojo.
Edit: Also the oil rig job has a bug or something. Basically, the oil tankers would get to the rig, get oil, and be stuck underneath the rig forever until manually controlled but they always get stuck again on the next trip. They usually work properly for a while before they start getting stuck.
