HD Monitor & Videocard

Hi guys, two questions.

First, i bought a HD monitor and it has this black border around the sides, it's not very annoying because the screen is still pretty big. I've been told that it is normal, so is it?

Second, i would like to know your opinion about which video card you would buy out of these once compared to eachother.

A. Adjust the geometry of the monitor, should be buttons on the front or back of it

B. We can't really compare a single GPU lol HD5770 is good though, no comparable Nvidia offer seeing as how the GTX260's had a price hike from availability problems.

A. lol i offcourse already tried that, and it seems to already be aligned as is.

B. A damn something went wrong in linking the thing =p. Should be a 5770 compared to a 5830.
